In 2011, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) – a global initiative to mobilize action from all sectors of society. Included in the initiative’s goal is to double the global use of renewable energy and ensure universal energy access by 2030.
Like many of our ethanol-industry friends, we’re busy getting ready for the upcoming Fuel Ethanol Workshop. This year’s event will be held June 1-4 in Minneapolis, Minn., and the Novozymes team is excited to connect with other folks in the industry and share our latest innovations.
This past week, Novozymes held its biannual Capital Markets Day (CMD) event. These events are a chance for investors, analysts, and the media to meet face-to-face with Novozymes’ executive management and other senior leadership to understand progress with the business. We’ve also recently launched a new purpose and strategy – “Partnering for impact” – so this CMD event had a new twist, with some of our most important partners joining our business unit leaders to discuss business, partnership and the road ahead.
Spring and summer months mean rising ambient temperatures and humidity levels, which have a negative impact on the efficiency of cooling towers and ethanol plants in general. To operate smoothly in higher temperatures, proper planning and process adjustments are necessary.
